As a lifetime nature lover and self-taught herbalist with functional nutrition certification, I wanted to create a place to share plant-powered DIY recipes, guides, tutorials, in-depth plant profiles, and more to inform and inspire others.
My journey with plants began as a child, perusing my mom's alternative medicine books. Later, as a young adult, I healed myself with plants after enduring many health issues throughout adolescence and my teenage years. In my early 20s, I moved to Arizona and spent a lot of solo time in the wilderness getting to know the local flora, and learning to identify and forage a variety of plants. In my late 20s, I spent time traveling through Central and South America, studying many plants on that journey, learning from locals, and journaling, and writing many plant profiles during that time.
Now in my 30s, as a mom, I've used the knowledge I've gained to help family and friends and to nourish and heal my own family. This is a very quick summation of my path, but I hope it helps give a little insight into the inspiration behind this site, which was started very intuitively and spontaneously, with the timing feeling just right. I hope to inspire others to follow their own plant paths and discover the magic and beauty for themselves!
You will find everything from herbal remedies and skincare recipes to sustainable and self-sufficient living guides to nature crafts for children, plant identification and foraging guides, cottagecore-inspired DIY, plant magic printables, homesteading projects, gardening and seasonal living articles, candle and incense making, edible flower recipes and more!
