Equipment

Materials

  • ½ cup castile soap plain/unscented

  • ¼ cup grapefruit juice freshly squeezed is preferable
  • ¼ cup vegetable glycerin
  • 12 drops lavender essential oil
  • 6 drops grapefruit essential oil

Instructions

  • In a lidded jar or other airtight storage container of choice, combine the soap, oil, juice, glycerin, and essential oils.
  • Close the container and then give everything a good shake until well combined.
  • Use right away, or keep stored in the refrigerator or other cool, dark place for up to one week.
  • To use, pour a few tablespoons under running water in the bathtub.
  • Enjoy!

Notes

This is a bubble bath recipe meant to make the most of the scent and exfoliating properties of fresh grapefruit juice. Due to using a fresh ingredient, this isn't a bubble bath intended to have a long storage life. If want a version of this with a longer shelf life, simply omit the grapefruit juice and use an additional 10 drops of grapefruit essential oil. This version should store well for at least 6 months.
