Lavender Solid Perfume

A soft, portable solid perfume made from beeswax, jojoba oil, and lavender essential oil.

Equipment

  • Double boiler (or heatproof bowl + small pot), small tin or perfume compact

Materials

  • 1 tablespoon beeswax pellets white or yellow
  • 2 tablespoons jojoba oil or sweet almond oil
  • 15 drops lavender essential oil

Instructions

  • Add the beeswax pellets and jojoba oil to a double boiler over gently simmering water, or a microwave-safe bowl.
  • Double boiler: melt slowly, stirring occasionally, until fully liquid and clear. Microwave: heat in 20-second bursts, stirring between each, until fully melted.
  • Melt slowly, stirring occasionally, until fully liquid and clear.
  • Remove from heat. Stir in the lavender essential oil.
  • Pour immediately into a small tin or compact.
  • Let set fully at room temperature (about 1 hour) or in the fridge (15 to 20 minutes).
  • Once solid, it's ready to use. Enjoy!
